Trauma Sensitive Yoga in Arlington, Texas and online throughout Texas
Reconnect with your body in a way that feels safe, empowering, and fully your own.
What if your body could feel like a safe place again?
If you’ve experienced chronic stress, difficult life experiences or traumatic events, traditional talk therapy alone might not be enough.
You may…
Feel disconnected or numb from your body
Struggle with anxiety, hypervigilance, or panic
Experience flashbacks or overwhelming physical sensations
Have a hard time relaxing or feeling present, even in calm moments
Trauma Center Trauma Sensitive Yoga (TCTSY) offers a different way to reconnect with your body through movement, breath, and choice.
What is Trauma Sensitive Yoga?
Trauma Center Trauma-Sensitive Yoga (TCTSY) is an evidence-based, body-centered approach to healing designed specifically for survivors of complex trauma, PTSD, and chronic stress.
Unlike a traditional yoga class, TCTSY is not about performance or flexibility. Instead, it's a practice of:
Making choices about how you move your body
Noticing sensations without judgment
Reconnecting to yourself through breath, movement, and stillness
Cultivating safety, agency, and presence
Each session is invitational—offering you options and space to explore what feels right in the moment.
How does it work?
You can experience TCTSY in two ways:
Integrated into individual therapy sessions: I may invite you to explore movement or breath-based practices as part of our regular work together.
In a dedicated TCTSY group: A weekly, trauma-informed yoga group designed to support survivors in a safe, structured environment.
No yoga experience is needed. You are always in control of what you choose to do or not do.
Trauma Sensitive Yoga can help you…
Build a more compassionate relationship with your body
Reduce anxiety and support emotional regulation
Develop a felt sense of safety through breath and movement
Reconnect with the present moment
Begin to feel empowered in your choices and experiences
Even a short, consistent practice can create meaningful shifts in how you feel day to day.
You don’t have to stay disconnected.
There is a way back to yourself and it can happen gently, gradually, and without pressure.
TCTSY offers a space to rebuild trust with your body and reclaim your sense of agency.
If you're curious about integrating trauma sensitive yoga into your healing journey, I’d be honored to support you.
